Where is this? Some swanky hotel? An art gallery?
No, it’s the Restoration Hardware store in Marin — which has a great location and view — and a popular restaurant, with a typical two-hour wait! (for walk-ins)

Surprisingly artsy pic taken at Lagunitas beer garden the evening before it was closing down in Dec 2020 because of a pandemic flare-up. (Ignore the guy with the beer belly.)

Two pics from wine country.
The first is from Rombauer, and the second is from Gloria Ferrer. I use the second one as my current title photo on my writing site.

A few photos from the coast — I haven’t been posting enough photos…
The first two are from the Monterey area, and the third is from Stinson Beach in Marin.

I used to work with an SRE team (site reliability engineering). I wanted to create a logo for the team, and found a Sanskrit word ‘sri’ (there are other spellings) meaning ‘a successful result’. Seemed a good basis for a logo. The word sri has a distinctive symbol, and I tried to make an animal version of this symbol. This was my best result (my first attempt was a duck). Unfortunately, I parted ways with the team before I could roll out my creation.
