She told me not to write anything rude, which got my crazy (poetic) mind going \u2013 so I ended up entering this:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Lucy said \u2018write nothing rude\u2019<br>Because she\u2019s in a silly mood.<br>But, I am a funny dude<br>Who has a lot of gratitude \u2013<br>That Lucy\u2019s in my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#00006d\"><em>Not bad for slapping it together quickly. I&#8217;m a decent under-the-gun poet \u2013 another example being my <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/lewczyk.net\/tomswritings\/?p=1810\">Chicken Every Sunday<\/a><em> poem, which I needed to quickly write and share with my siblings after a joint conversation about this mythical book.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We went to Lucy&#8217;s first communion, and she had a book for people to write congratulatory notes in.
