Cabinet and counter space were maximized &#8212; yet there was ample room for a large range and a medium-sized refrigerator. The sink was double &#8212; that is, it had two basins, with a spigot between that swivelled. There was even a garbage disposal. Lacking, however, was a dishwasher. Consequently, dishes piled up in the sink between tedious washings done by hand. However, since the apartment was designed for only two tenants, the need to wash the dishes was not great enough to justify a bulky dishwasher.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think this was just an exercise in writing.
